CMMT MP multi-protocol drives CMMT-AS and CMMT-ST
Festo introduces the CMMT MP family of multi-protocol servo drives. Every drive in this family is configurable as EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, PROFINET, and Modbus TCP. Using this single-family multi-protocol strategy, machine builders supporting multiple communications protocols can reduce servo-drive inventories. A unified drive family improves engineering productivity through familiarity with a single platform, simplifies tech support, and gains a robust supply chain for competitively priced servo drives.
Decentralized I/0 modules to optimize functionality
CPX-AP-A distributed I/O has modules attached within a terminal. CPX-AP-I is Festo’s decentralized I/O where modules are connected via cable at distances of up to 50 meters (164 feet) between modules. AP modules, whether on-terminal or individual, are IP65/67 rated and can be located in cabinets, in clusters around the cell, individually placed or separated at great distances.
ADN-S pneumatic cylinder
Festo adds a new space-optimized product to its line of pneumatic cylinders ‒ the ultra-compact ADN-S – for performing small movements in tight quarters and, in so doing, helping machine designers keep their projects as space efficient as possible. Festo took the ISO standard ADN double-acting cylinder and shrank the housing length to create a significantly smaller, lighter weight, and attractively priced choice for space-critical applications. The ADN-S is also smaller than other compact double-acting cylinders.
SDBT-MSX
The Festo SDBT-MSX is the first programmable proximity switch with automatic switching point setting. With an initial detection range of 20 mm, the SDBT-MSX is easy and reliable to install and commission, especially in applications where mounting is difficult. The switch is ideal for all standard applications, including factory automation and the electronics industry/small parts handling. Only two steps are required for installing an SDBT-MSX.
Automation Experience (AX)
Festo introduces the Festo Automation Experience (AX), a new artificial intelligence (AI) platform for predictive maintenance, predictive quality, and energy optimization. Using advanced analytics, Festo AX maps data to learn a component, machine, product, or energy system’s healthy state. Festo AX provides actionable information to correct anomalies when data begins trending out of normal. This new solution from Festo improves machine utilization and quality, lowers waste, and ensures energy optimization.

Festo UR+ certified multi-axis solution
Festo announces the development of its UR+ certified multi-axis solution for Universal Robotics (UR) cobots. The certified UR system adds up to four axes of motion beyond the UR cobot six axes, and embodies Festo world-class precision, reliability, and longevity. This solution from Festo lowers customer engineering time and speeds startup as it arrives ready to install.
CMSH smart positioner with VTOP modular installation platform
The CMSH delivers a highly dynamic, low-wear positioning system with high air output and a long service life. The positioner is designed for fast precision control of actuators – large or small, linear or rotary, and single-acting or double-acting. CMSH features 2-wire technology (analog and digital), HART communication, condition monitoring, fail safe modes, and a modular system with many variants.
